idlewild

The other day Zac took the day off and we checked out a kids amusement park called Idlewild. It was great. Made for kids...our kids could go on every ride with an adult. Lucky Zac got to take the kids as I wan't supposed to go on the rides do to my large belly. The kids had so much fun playing and riding the rides. Turns out this was one of the hottest days of the summer...thus all the red cheeks. Luckily Idlewild is also had a small water park for us to cool off in after lunch. Almost all the pictures are from our morning...we put the camera away for the water park and evening. Sometimes it is better just to enjoy the moment through my eyes instead of the camera's.

You have no idea how long I waited in the hot sun to get this picture, but it was worth it. I love that Zac is just as excited as the kids.

detroit tigers

We took a trip back up to Ann Arbor a few weeks ago to see all the Turner family. While there we all went to a Detroit Tigers game. We had to much fun. I am convinced that baseball is the best sport to watch. There is always something going on, music playing or crazy members of the crowd to keep one entertained. That night was especially fun because the "beach ball bandits" snuck in about 100-150 beach balls and set them loose on the crowd right next to us. The kids were thrilled to get beach balls although they had to keep them secret from security...apparently they aren't allowed at the ball game.

Doing the wave.

We stayed the entire game just to see the fireworks...well worth it.

mini golf

The title says it all. We passed this place on our way home the other day and had to come back. We had the place all to ourselves so we just took our time playing. After Andrew figured out that it wasn't like hockey he did pretty well. Anne....well Anne was really good at "pushing" her ball into the hole. She did manage to get a hole in one on the final hole which won her a free banana split. Love that! They had this great little ice cream joint attached. You know the kind...huge portions at great prices and a million combinations to decide from. Love that even more.

Anne with her "huge" banana split. Can you believe that she almost polished it off?

Andrew stuck to his favorite...chocolate.

I stuck to my favorite too. Chocolate Ice cream with brownie underneath...I didn't even get close to finishing mine. Don't worry Andrew was more then happy to help.
