Halloween 2012

Jackson's costume was the one costume I actually made this year. Knowing that he was going to love it like crazy was a excellent motivation. I tried to get him to wear the red underwear but he told me that "underwear   does not go on top pants mom." Fine by me...always thought Superman was a bit of a nutter for that look anyway.

We were lucky enough to find Andrew's Captain America costume at Costco...I know you are all shocked that I found something at Costco because I never get anything at Costco. Andrew insisted on this pose...not sure where he got that one from.

We are still not sure what Anne was. All I know is that we had a dance costume that needed to be used. Yay easy costume!

Pumpkin Carving 2012

Gotta love the warm 85 degree weather on Halloween in San Antonio. It was like being back in Hawaii again. It was so much more fun to carve our pumpkins outside and so much easier to clean up too. This year Anne did her entire pumpkin all by herself and Andrew did almost all of it...Jackson well he just didn't like the gooey insides so Zac helped him. Thomas and I just sat and enjoyed it all.

Love these cubby legs.

The Texas Pumpkin Farm

Tried out a Pumpkin Farm this year about a hour north of us in the Hill Country of Texas. The day was perfect. Not too hot and not cold. We took a hay ride from the car to the farm, the kids ran through a hay maze, the older two rode ponies, all three enjoyed a barrel ride and then we all enjoyed some super yummy apple cider. Not too shabby for a Saturday afternoon.

This was the only pony Jackson would ride...too scared of the real ones.

Zac and I decided that Grandpa Howie needs to make one of these for their lawn mower.

Thomas's Blessing

My brother Dan gave me this BYU onesie when Anne was born for her to wear under her blessing dress. It became a Turner tradition. Thomas also wore the onesie...he was almost too chubby to fit into it. The blessing outfit was Zac's. All our boys have also worn that too.

Jackson's Birthday

We waited to celebrate Jackson's birthday till Saturday when Daddy was home (he travels to Ft. Hood once a month) and when Darlin and Pickle were here. Per his request we went to Red Robing for dinner then home for cupcakes and presents. He had requested a cupcake train so I came up with this. So glad I didn't spend much time with that request because he spent about 2.5 seconds on his cupcake then ran off to play with his new toys.

He is very in to trains right now. This train was from Anne.

Andrew has a train just like this in his room and now we have a Jackson train too. Thanks Grandma Darlin.

Showing off his new Superman cape. Best birthday present I ever made. He loved it.

Grandma Darlin had watched Jackson pretend to rip off his shirt multiple times over Skype when he was showing her how he played Superman. She got the great idea to make a rip away shirt. She bought a white shirt and added Velcro. He put on his Superman cape then the rip away shirt and asked for his Superman music (thanks John Williams) and proceeded to be in Superman heaven over and over.

The Park: Darlin and Pickle Style

Darlin and Pickle came for Thomas' blessing. The big kids were in school on Friday so we took Grandma and Grandpa up to the "BIG" park. We had a lot of fun. Always nice to have family in town.

I was standing there watching them both push Jackson on the swing and I had a flash back. Jackson looks so much like Anne at the same age and I have a picture almost exactly like the one above when Anne was the same age. How time flies.

See what my sweet baby does to people...puts them right out.
