Gingerbread House
We usually get a gingerbread kit at Costco and they turn out really cute but this year I couldn't find one there so got one elsewhere. I cannot even begin to tell you what a pain it was to get this thing to stand up. There is like four cans inside that house holding the walls up. Once we got it up though the kids had a blast playing with candy...what kid wouldn't? Of course I think they had more fun eating the candy after.

Thanksgiving in Springfield
This year we spent Thanksgiving up in Springfield with the entire Turner family. It was so nice to all be together and to watch all the kids play. The four older kids ate Thanksgiving at their own little table. All the food was so yummy. Megan and Jeremy did such a good job cooking everything. Thanks for having us up.
Jackson and Emma had their own little table.
I don't know what Zac was smiling at but Thomas doesn't think it is as funny.
Grandpa Pickle and Grandma Darlin.
The boys had just finished eating their pie without hands. Much better that way I guess.
Of course there was a lot of wrestling with Brigg.
We went to a park to take a family photo. It was freezing but not too cold for the kids to chase ducks.
We came home and made our own Thanksgiving on Sunday. After all what would the week after look like without leftovers?

Playing Outside
The boys came outside with me while I weeded one morning...yes I still have to weed even though it is November. It was such nice weather (nice because I wasn't sweating and there were no mosquitoes) so we played outside for a bit then it warmed back up as the sun came up over the house and I started sweating so back inside we went but not before I grabbed my camera and took some pictures. I love that Thomas looks like a fat pirate. Arrrrgh...give me back by binky!

Halloween 2012
Jackson's costume was the one costume I actually made this year. Knowing that he was going to love it like crazy was a excellent motivation. I tried to get him to wear the red underwear but he told me that "underwear does not go on top pants mom." Fine by me...always thought Superman was a bit of a nutter for that look anyway.
We were lucky enough to find Andrew's Captain America costume at Costco...I know you are all shocked that I found something at Costco because I never get anything at Costco. Andrew insisted on this pose...not sure where he got that one from.
We are still not sure what Anne was. All I know is that we had a dance costume that needed to be used. Yay easy costume!
Pumpkin Carving 2012
Gotta love the warm 85 degree weather on Halloween in San Antonio. It was like being back in Hawaii again. It was so much more fun to carve our pumpkins outside and so much easier to clean up too. This year Anne did her entire pumpkin all by herself and Andrew did almost all of it...Jackson well he just didn't like the gooey insides so Zac helped him. Thomas and I just sat and enjoyed it all.
Love these cubby legs.
