Family Home Evening

We had a wonderful Family Home Evening (a night set aside each week to teach a church lesson to our kids) last night. We read the story of Nephi getting the tools ready to build the boat then the kids got to draw a picture of it on our white board. Of course this was their favorite part.

Of course what would a Family Home Evening be without the treat. These Surprise Cookies were especially yummy and hit the spot.

I LOVE FHE too. I just made a great FHE Board during our Super Saturday last November and the kids have had so much fun switching the names. The last couple of weeks Mike has taught the lesson and I just give him the topic. He makes up the most amazing stories with funny named characters. I sit on the side and watch the expressions and laughs from the kids. It is my favorite time of the week! Your cookies look tasty...will you send me your recipe! Miss you so much!

Joy, the white board is inspiration. That is how the kids internalize what you teach them, way to go!
